The origin of Salvadó Alexandre

Our Beginning

Salvadó Alexandre is a family winery located in Verdú, within the DO Costers del Segre, driven by Jordi Salvadó and Elisabet Alexandre. The project stems from a connection to a winemaking family and home, where wine was previously made for personal consumption. Years later, that space comes back to life thanks to Jordi's curiosity, as he discovers the old family cellar and begins a learning process alongside Elisabet's godfather and father, combining traditional field knowledge with technical and oenological training.

Preparation

At Salvador Alexandre, we understand winemaking as a natural continuation of the work done in the vineyard. We work with small productions, which allows us to closely monitor each batch of grapes and make decisions calmly, carefully, and with respect for the product.

Our goal is to produce clean, balanced, and honest wines that express the character of each varietal and of our territory. Every process, from the grape reception to bottling, is carried out with control and attention to detail, seeking to preserve the freshness, aromatic expression, and identity of each wine.

We believe in precise winemaking without artifice, where technique serves the wine and not the other way around. That's why we take care of every stage of the process, with the aim that each bottle conveys our way of understanding the winery: small production, traceability, quality, and respect for the origin.

Our Lands

Salvadó Alexandre's vineyards are located in Verdú, within the DO Costers del Segre, at an altitude of 434 meters. These are inland lands with cold winters, hot summers, and a marked temperature difference between day and night, a contrast that helps preserve the freshness of the grapes and gives character to the wines.

We work the vineyards 100% organically, with respect for the soil, the natural cycle of the plant, and the surrounding environment. For us, wine begins in the field, and every decision in the vineyard is key to achieving honest, balanced, and unique wines.

We cultivate varieties such as Macabeo, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon, aiming for each bottle to express the landscape of Verdú, our daily work, and our way of understanding the land.
